Our Story
Founded in 2008 by master craftsman James P. Thornton, JPT Furniture began as a small workshop in the heart of Portland. What started as a one-man operation has grown into a celebrated studio with over 40 artisans — each piece still shaped by hand.
We source only sustainably harvested hardwoods, work with local tanneries for our leathers, and partner with independent textile weavers for our upholstery. Every joint, every finish, every detail is considered.
